Spirit Pilot Kicks Woman Off Plane After She Fakes Seat Assignment

In May 2024, a young woman caused a commotion at a Spirit Airlines terminal. After boarding the plane, she refused to sit in her assigned seat and took someone else's seat instead. Despite being asked to move by the flight attendants, she insisted on staying put, even going as far as photoshopping a fake seat assignment to deceive the officers who were called to the scene.

Spirit flight employees reported that the woman demanded the police be called and insisted that everyone be removed from the plane because she wasn't going anywhere. She claimed that the pilots had no choice but to fly the plane because she said so.

The pilot stated that the woman was not complying with the airline's rules and that they wanted her off the plane regardless. Officers politely asked her to remove herself to avoid deboarding everyone on the plane.

Ultimately, the woman was arrested and taken to the local jail free of charge. She received a 5-year ban from Spirit Airlines and was ordered to pay a fine. This incident serves as a clear reminder of the importance of following the pilot's instructions because when the pilot says go, you gotta go.
