Should you spray paint your favorite verse on the outside of the church? Obviously not, you don't own it. 1 Cor 6:20 "... for God bought you with a high price. So you must honor God with your body." Try spray painting verses on the Pastors car, see how pleased they are. "For God’s temple is holy, and you are that temple.” 1st Corinthians 3:16-17. God is the potter, WE are the clay. He chooses our form and colors, as He chooses. We are all masterpieces of His creation, but what happens to the value of a masterpiece when someone puts graffiti on it??? It is not a salvation issue, but it IS a respect issue for both the temple and the creator of it. I appreciate him at least bringing the subject up. The graffiti you put on the Pastors car would also start conversations, does that mean you should do it? Just say no.
