Me, knowing absolutely nothing about fixing electronics: Yes, this seems like an excellent video to watch.

Hearing you say that you wouldn’t feel comfortable selling sketchy repaired switches and shouting out your old apprentice makes me realize there is still good people out there

Imagine this dude being your dad, literally nothing in your house would be broken

An ethical tech repair/renew guy!!! That’s refreshing. The fact that you wouldn’t sell a liquid damaged board goes a long way to earning respect, bro. The number of people who would just take the bucks and look the other way is ridiculous.

Pretty envious of anyone who can take apart something, fix it and put it back together.

I’m too stupid for this and there’s zero need for me to watch this, but I love watching people who know what they’re doing. It’s satisfying

"Even though I could fix it, I don't feel comfortable selling it"

Apple: I'll pretend I didn't see that.

This is exactly why Apple and Microsoft wants to eliminate right to repair. They want you to send it back to them for them to make money. Heaven forbid the customer doesn't want to go through the hassle of shipping and wait 2 months for the manufacture to repair instead of just getting someone local to change a 20 dollar part

Some of those non-repairable switches were probably resold multiple times.

we totally take for granted the time he took to fix all of these. To take them apart and put it back in exact order is incredible.

At least you have a heap of parts from the unfixable ones. It's never a loss.

Note to self: Never place liquid of any kind anywhere near the Nintendo Switch.
