PlayStation 2 vs Nintendo GameCube

Back in 2000, DVD players cost more than $300. It made sense for people to buy a PS2 as their families first DVD player. It also has some of the greatest games of all time. It was a no-brainer really.

I remember opening a PS2 for Christmas the very Christmas season it came out. My parents happened to be at best buy literally when 5 came in. I was 1 of 2 kids in my school that had it. We spent hours with large groups of friends playing that thing.

I personally prefer PlayStation, PS2 controller feels right and PS2 and PS1 games are my favorite of any system

My dad did this exact thing, mainly because it played my ps1 games, but i would have had more fun and friends with a gamecube... still loved my ps2 though.

Hell I had to of been spoiled because I had a GameCube and DVD player.

A standard DVD Player is cheap. I say the GameCube is better than the PS2 because it:
*is more compact
*is more durable, especially when compared to the big PS2 model
*doesn't damage discs like the PS2 Slim with the latter's gradually loosening laser cord
*has a reliable laser, unlike the older PS2s
*has less shovelware
*has better memory cards
*doesn't need multitap for 3+ players
*has a unique physical design
*has a handle
*is more energy efficient
*has stronger graphics hardware
*likely has more accessories
*is the less pricy console

Now a days, the opposite is the truth.
