You don't need to get a licenced electrician to change a light bulb it's an old law. A strange law in Australia is that it's illegal to carry over 50 kg of potatoes in Western Australia

A strange UK law is that (since 1872) you can't get drunk in a pub, you legally have to pay a fine. As for whether this is enforced or not I couldn't say I'm not 18 yet so can't test

You also:
Can't gamble in a library
Can't bring armour and/or swords into parliament
Can't carry a plank of wood across the street unless you're doing it to unload a nearby vehicle
Cant walk cows down the street in daylight
Legally, taxi drivers have to ask if you have smallpox or the plague (although this is very outdated and nobody has these diseases anymore so most taxi drivers actually break the law here)

It is actually illegal to have an ice cream cone in your pocket because they used to do that a long time ago to steal peoples horses by luring them away but they wouldn’t get arrested

Most of the weird laws in the southern US were ways to have black people arrested and put into pseudo-slavery after slavery was abolished, except for the ice cream one, which was a way to lure horses away and steal them.
