Portofino, Italy: The Harbour & The Little Square

The small picturesque town of Portofino located in the heart of the Italian Riviera, on the Ligurian Sea, is so beautiful in shape and color. Today, the old fishermen’s village is a fascinating place for many tourists including many celebrities. Elizabeth Taylor was proposed by Richard Burton in Portofino. Portofino is grouped around its small natural harbour surrounded by hills covered by olive groves and small vineyards. Multicolored houses facing the harbour make the fishing village more picturesque. Portofino with its tall colorful houses arranged in a semi-circle around the famous Piazzetta is an iconic place of the Italian Riviera. Piazzetta di Portofino, set on the water, around the small harbour is tiny but always full of people.
