Been there twice now and would return in a heartbeat. Did you hike up to the castle to look around inside and then get the most amazing views of the harbor below? Did you visit the churches? Did you walk through the amazing cemetery? We had great meals there so all you need to do is read the posted menus ahead of time. You can bike ride or rent scooters to go along the coast to S. Margherita. One woman told us she walked there and back and thoroughly enjoyed it! Sounds like you showed up with a bad attitude and sought to prove yourselves correct. You succeeded!

This is such a sad video... you go to Portofino and Ligurian cities and vilages in general for snorkeling, kayaking, paddle boarding, frito di mare, or in general fish based food, you also go there for the caves, castles, hiking trails, and sunsets. You actualy do not need to spend a fortune for all this. The beach you were on is called baia di olivetta is not meant for sun bathing since it is mostly under the shade throughout the day. You pretty missed 99% of what the area has to offer. Probably a rage bait clip, since nobody is forcing you yo buy designer clothes from high-end shops. You will find Gucci and Prada stores in some remote areas of Italy as well, not sure why the surprise since these are Italian brands and are also part of Italian culture.

If you are poor or don't want to spend your money, just stay at home.
Nobody gives you anything for free either in Italy or in the United States.
If you need alms going to Portofino is not a good idea. Portofino is a splendid place, but for those who have the money.

Lok girls, you needed to tour the castle that overlooks the port. Have a real meal for lunch or dinner. I understand you are on a budget, but live a little and enjoy a brandy or glass of wine and cigar at night. Walk along the promenade and don't be so stuck up. Spend less money on the ear rings and glasses and more on your other indulgences. Florida or L.A. beaches may be a better fit for you two.

it's a Historical peninsula, you didn't go to Castello Brown, there is also a walking tour, you could appreciate the beauty of the Harbour, the architecture and soak in the vibes, next time go to Vegas 🤣😬
