Portofino, Italy: Piazzeta and the Harbour

The small picturesque town of Portofino located in the heart of the Italian Riviera, on the Ligurian Sea, is so beautiful in shape and color. Today, the old fishermen’s village is a fascinating place for many tourists including many celebrities. Elizabeth Taylor was proposed by Richard Burton in Portofino. Portofino is grouped around its small natural harbour surrounded by hills covered by olive groves and small vineyards. Multicolored houses facing the harbour are arranged in a semi-circle around the famous Piazzetta. Set on the water around the small natural harbour, the Little Square is an iconic place of the Italian Riviera. Being the main square of the town, Piazzetta di Portofino is always full of people.
