Velociraptor - One Of The Most Intelligent Dinosaurs That Ever Existed! / Documentary (English/HD)

The velociraptor helps to highlight how the less imposing dinosaurs managed to survive against their predators and hunt for their prey. Its ability to scavenge and use its nimble legs to run away from potential dangers suggests its intelligence was a little higher than the other dinosaurs, as it seemed to know what kind of prey it could easily overpower and how to escape conflicts. Perhaps the portrayal of velociraptors in Jurassic Park has muddled our understanding of their personalities and habitat, causing us to forget how this tiny carnivore managed to survive despite its size.

Can we all agree that nobody really knows dinosaur behavior. Assumptions are made on how fossils are found and how animals behave today but we can never truly know anything about something that reigned 180 million years and went extinct 65 million years ago. Such amazing animals

Actually, you can find raptor fossils outside east Asia. Velociraptor Mongoliensis is native to that region. But Velociraptor Antirrhopus can be found in North America. You completely omitted a genus of that species.

This video definitely deserves many more views, and i say that because its not that robot voice that people like to put on videos instead them actually talking. And its just bogus, i enjoyed listening to this. So keep it up on the good work. Thank you

Kind of funny that the narration mentions no evidence of packhunting while putting forward the idea of scavenging as if it were fact.
You do realize anatomically a raptor is not a scavenger.
It is fast but not extremely fast I see it more like a wolf or perhaps if scavenging as well a hyena. They are not top of the food chain so they cannot linger around a fresh kill too long unless they are pack animals. since we do know they nest it is much more likely they are pack animals. Strength in numbers.
Because a key feature of a lone animal is high speed or burrowing. Veloci raptors cannot burrow, nor climb and their speed is not extreme.
Also the need to nest is a link to social animals. As are most birds. Only certain predatory birds are solitary. But then again raptors are flightless. No lone penguins or turkeys out there. Always flocks.

I hate when people talk about how small the velocieraptors were and never mention the Utah raptor I feel like it just leads people to believe that all raptors were small.

my theory for Jurassic park is that the Utahraptor got found before Velociraptor and they ended up naming Utahraptor Velociraptor, because it fixes all the problems with the raptors but them not having feathers

The Raptor was an amazing little dinosaur, they were probably very clever, much more cleverer than other dinosaurs, they could possibly take out a T, rex, when hunting in a group?
I know that these little monsters could take anything out in their day, they were just so clever.

On the intelligence recent theory’s have proposed the idea that dinosaur Brains had a higher density of neurons than that of the average animal much like crows and crocodiles. This could explain why a lot of dinosaurs had evolved with smaller brains to their body size.
