How to create and save your own custom watermark in Microsoft Word

Watermarks are a great way to signify something about a document - that it's a draft, or needs attention ASAP, or confidential or in-house only. Here's how to create and save your own custom watermarks to get them within two clicks of being inserted into your document.

This is a very good lesson. You answered my question about hot to create my own Watermark. FYI, I discovered by accident that you can skip the Quick Parts part of your lesson. You just need to Select All in the header, then click on the Watermark drop down, and at the very bottom, you select "Save Selection to Watermark Gallery". Subscribed.

@DeborahSavadra Is there a way to create a watermark in Word and put it in the Header or Footer?? I would like a watermark to show that it is my original document. I recently had someone submit a document to my client stating that I had created that document. I want to avoid that with future documents that I create for clients. Thank you in advance for any suggestions.
