Should You Buy Halo Wars 2 in 2023?

Halo Wars 2 has been out for over 5 years, and there's no more support for the game. Despite all this, should you buy Halo Wars 2 in 2023?

Me and my brother bought the game when it was realesed and only played de campaign. We came back a few weeks ago to test muliplayer and it has been surprisingly better than what we expected.

My friend and I downloaded this game a few weeks ago! And it has been a breath of fresh air! I wish I played this game in its prime. Hopefully they’ll make a halo wars 3 in the future

I’m happy there’s still a very active player base keeping this game alive this game is literally the only game I play and addicting as hell happy players are keeping it alive it’s a damn tragedy plans for halo wars 3 were scrapped but it was never ruled out it could be a possibility whether that ever happens especially with the 343 layoffs is prob never

HW2 is amazing and still has the potential to be so much better if 343 continued to support it with big fixes and balancing adjustments but unfortunately 343 blows.

I bought HW2 years ago and my friend got me back into it recently. I’m loving it and it’s so much fun but I do have to say that when I’m searching for games at 2 am, it can take 10 minutes to find a game. Not only that but most people quit or disconnect immediately which sucks because I’m guaranteed a loss in ranked whenever the disconnect/quit is on my team. Almost impossible to rank up which is very frustrating.

It’s such an incredible story. For that alone, it’s beautiful. Play it on PC via Xbox Play Everywhere. Better than any story told to date, it is literally my favorite Halo game, idc what anyone says. Phenomenal.

I think if they just would bring this game to steam, halo would be revived a bit
They just need to copy paste it, because its already on pc
Why they dont do this?
And why no more leaver buster/bug fixes?
They could even update this game for balance changes again or add new stuff, people would love it...😢

Wow! I randomly thought about this game yesterday. I can’t believe you uploaded a video! What a coincidence! I am gonna get it today.

I think it should be a law that, when a company abandons a game, they are required to release a certain modding package to the community which will hand over all ability to fix issues and perform server maintainable or whatever. Hopefully the community can keep this game alive; maybe even make a third!

I have it on pc and ever since last month the plants in the maps are massive. There so big to the point I couldn’t see the units.

Does anyone know if turning off the FPS boost actually helps with crashes??

The amount of games i crash out of and then get hate msgs for "leaving" is irritating to say the least

yeah ive been getting a lot of foliage glitches aswell especially with maps that have a ton of greenery, so what this glitch does it increases the size of the foliage from its normal scale to like maybe 100x more making it cover huge areas of the map, if I were a games tester I could say this glitch is most certainly more of a visual glitch than a cloison based glitch, but yeah ive been getting it a lot on Xbox one s and my god is that shit annoying to deal with I may try turning off foliage in the settings but even so before I had this games i noticed that every time you would start a match a glitch would occur when you couldn't interact with your marines, interact with your base, it seemed to me in that sense that was a UX bug (user experience) as it would either take so time to wait before it wakes up or I would have to spam certain keys on my keyboard to get it to wake up again.

I know that halo wars 2 isn't supported right now, it is a great game if you know how to manage the community and chances are that halo wars 2 would be better off with a new studio working under its wing to support halo wars 2 as tbh even if 343 did support it can you really say they will do a great job with it, tho saying that they did pull off a hat trick with MCC but still things like this don't need the players to be waiting for years and years just to get some sort of salvation. (its surprising to me that 343 is isolating halo wars 2 from its websites but you gotta think a company that didn't hate halo made this game, Creative assembly)
