Free plans are on the way!! This is pretty much the biggest ramp you can make from a single sheet of plywood for the two sides. It's way bigger than what I would want to try too lol. This ramp and landing was built for a friend who gave me specs to build. I hope this project is helpful and if you have any helpful tips, please leave them below :)

Thanks for watching!!

MODERN BUILDS

Hi, My name is Mike Montgomery and I'm a MAKER; a designer, builder, and full-time content creator. Accessibility is my focus with Modern Builds, not simply accessibility of designs, but accessibility in materials, information, and projects themselves. I've focused on creating furniture and DIY projects that are simple enough that any beginner maker can accomplish, yet interesting enough that any expert might be inspired. Building and making is becoming less and less of an exclusive hobby and profession. My goal is to reduce that separation even further.

If you did decide to use that ramp, you may end up with 'Mike's Second Flip'. Cant wait to see your friend use it!

u definitely need to coat the ramp with something weather proof and brace the sides more, and add diagonal cross members to atleast the landing as the bike would excert forces to the sides. And use glue for added strength, and the launch ramp need another layer of plywood with glue inbetween as the forces could easly brake the plywood in between studs as only the tires make contact, concetrating the forces the bike and biker excert. Atleast my two cents as its for a friend, I would overengineer the jesus of the out it. Maybe even add brakets for ground spikes so It cant move.

Great job. I enjoy how you approach your projects and walk everyone through them as you go. Even if it is something you do for the first time, you end up with a great product.

Great video! Could have made the landing a bit wider for comfort and a case pad would have been nice also

Supposed to build a landing of 45 degrees, but came out to 22.5 degrees? :P

I get it. Mike's 'first flip' is really a reference to his new skate ramp.

Is there a rule that you have to make the 2x4 spacing 8" apart?

Please tell me you are surfing off the coast of Australia, or something similar. You finished the reno months ago, right? Lordy, it's taking FO-EH-VAH for you to show us the house reno! Why is it taking so long?
