People ask me all the time for help building in The Sims, so here's how I make my dumb suburban family houses!

The fact that i still cant build even after watching loads of tutorials is honestly quite depressing

I wish that you could classify the rooms as bedroom/kitchen/bathroom or whatever. This way the AI could work better and the sims would eat in the correct place.

I always have my own "size" for rooms that I most of the time stick with.
For example:
4x6 for bed rooms
6x6 for master bed rooms
2x3 for half bath rooms
3x4 for full bath rooms
5x5 for kitchen with island
3x3 for kitchen without island
6x6 for living room with fireplace/TV
4x4 for living room without fireplace/TV
and so on.

So, my build are mostly me building the rooms separately, then put them together. Kinda like a puzzle...

For console players, you just need to press triangle when you want to delete a wall using the wall tool 😊
