LIFESAVER! I made a mistake of increasing a VM virtual disk beyond the host's disk space and there was no way i could get it back down without using vCenter Converter... but then it refused to work after that (maybe i forgot to allow compatibility in this) but this fix worked wonderfully! Thanks Simon!

For the Error:Invalid OVF name (bridged) specified in net mapping. Bla bla bla..
I just delete the Network Adapter and the transfer to ESXi works perfect!

Wasted so much time copying my VMs to the datastore and received the error, when I tried booting them. This method worked perfectly, and I was able to get all of my VMs up and running without any issues.

I added the VM to vCenter, and did an migration with host and storage, and this work fine aswell :)

you really do not need to do any of these steps. Create the image attempt to run it. If you receive this error, clone it within VMware VSphere and then attempt to power it on. This should work for you.
