Watch Boris Johnson's full speech as he resigned from his position as prime minister of the United Kingdom.

The Conservative party leader announced his intentions to continue in an interim role while appointing a new cabinet following swathes of resignations amongst his own.

Some 59 MPs, beginning with Sajid Javid and Rishi Sunak on June 5 sent letters of resignation to the PM, rendering his position untenable.

Mr Johnson said that he had tried to convince his cabinet that it would be "eccentric" to change prime minister now, but conceded that he had "not been successful in those arguments".

Honestly takes the piss that this guy is given the chance to give himself such an honourable send off and to retire into a life of wealth.

To leave without actually facing legal backlash for breaking numerous of his own laws, for covering up and defending sexual assault, hiring a fucking hitman and for actively trying to cover up dozens of accounts of abusing the system... this sounds like quite a vague claim so let me just clarify...

This is including:

stealing tax payers money, abusing lower ranking members of the government, lying in parliament quite literally more frequently than telling the honest truth, actively privatizing fuel/gas leading to a fuel crisis, defending blatant racist and homophobic statements and members of their party, literally changing statements on flat out blatant facts like their views are based of a fucking mood ring, stealing from tax money to fuel his own house renevations, blatantly lie about brexit amounting to a profit to our economy, then lie about this "proft" going into the NHS - spoilers, the made up profit that is actually a loss did not provide a net increase of fund for the NHS - even if you include the increase fucking taxes to make up for the shambles of a decision brexit was..

On the topic of brexit - not only did they force it through with lies about it benefiting the economy and British funds BUT on top of that - despite it providing NO logistical benefit to the British people( beyond giving more control of the law to these fucking donut conservatives that shouldn't be trusted tying their own fkn shoes)... they to this day bring it up in parlament as an argument against the opposition... like lad... what? there's been nothing but downsides if you look at things with a clear head and a logistical mind.

even if you just go off delivering demands.. the conservatives have always been pretty shocking at delivering their promises - if it was just the pretend "50, 000 new nurses" that have actually dropped in number because of brexit or the "15 new hospitals" that is mostly made up of existing hospitals... that's pretty standard of them.

But led by their most blatant leader yet.... the "BIG DOG"... well its shown them for the school children they are, even to their most loyal tory followers... at least I'd hope.

The same old bluster and big talk as the day he entered Downing Street and made a speech at the same podium. He didn't have the humility to apologise for all the scandals, lies and coverups which ensured he destroyed himself; no acknowledgement of the state he has left the country. The Tories enabled him because they saw him as a vote winner, and they only turned when the public mood went against Johnson. They all need to go.
