Our health is our real wealth. Nothing else really matters

I love this from Alan Watts. It is true. No one should be starving or homeless. We should not be suffering. ♾✨❤

Man this recording has aged like fine wine. Everything he said is happening today as we speak.

Untill we care for each other enough to get up and do the things we do every day, out of nothing more than the want to ensure that everybody has their needs met, nothing will ever change.

Money is not the root of evil, it’s inert. It’s greed. Wanting more than you need, especially at the cost of others having enough. My grandad always told me, “Enough is as good as a feast.”

Watts reminded us that money is merely an illusion distracting us from the true treasures of life: nature and our own creative spirit, due to treating money as if it is a tangible resource like food and water.

I'm happy to go on food stamps and walk around with everything I own since I can't afford a home anyway. Even after years of hard labor, I have only a van. And now I can't even afford that. Everyone looks miserable in their vehicles rushing around everywhere. We make life too difficult for how easy we are capable of making it.

I got beaten at school for getting my maths wrong, now the government gets praised for doing it wrong.

The ONLY truest "currency" that matters most is your Consciousness and your energetic frequency (that you put out). Therefore, a pure authentic LOVING frequency is all that matters. Simple concept. Yet the most difficult to achieve in BEING and Feeling for most humans. Much luck to you all.

Everything is energy and that’s all there is to it. Match the frequency of the reality you want and you cannot help but get that reality.

He was so ahead of his time, it's crazy.. The greed of elite & corporations is/has taken this process away from the people.

I love how this talk exposed the status quo bias that exists around our relationship with work and money. It’s so true—people cling to outdated systems and resist change, even when technology can eliminate drudgery and improve lives. A family member of mine worked in manufacturing for years, but as automation took over, he struggled to find meaning because of that deeply ingrained belief that work equals worth. This conversation opens the door to rethinking what labor and wealth really mean in the modern age

What a coincidence, the radio pops up Pink Floyd "The Machine" while listening to this great video

Much of Watts's predictions, concerning the inevitably of pointless work, endless bureaucracy, and the age of all-encompassing advertising /propaganda, has of course come to pass. He was a truly brilliant, perspicacious man.

David Graeber captured this, incidentally, in his 2013 essay on BS jobs and expanded further in his later, excellent book, "Bullsh*t Jobs." But Watts saw it all coming.

Final line: ''People have to be persuaded, to play fair with each other.'' There sir, is the rub.
