Also maybe this is already in the works but I think a future episode dedicated to voting as an Italian citizen abroad in the upcoming elections would be much appreciated!

Living in Italy for the last 5 years. Best option I’ve found to transfer USD is Wise, then to spend and convert in Euro you’d want Revolut. If buying a car or purchasing something with a payment plan then you’d need an Italian bank account. I would recommend Fineco as it offers a free multi currency account.

If an italian comes back to Italy after living abroad from a few years, having the AIRE abroad, does he have to pay taxes on the money he is bringing to italy to buy the house? Note that the money was saved from earning coming from abrod while he was not a resident of italy.

If one is not a resident in Italy and opens an Italian bank account, is there any tax on the money sent to the account by Italy or any tax on the money sitting in the account? Is there a limit on the amount of money that can be transferred over to the account?

I am just trying to transfer some of my US money to my PostePay prepaid card and I am not seeing how to do it from my US bank on the online banking portal. It asks for a routing number and an account number but there is no place to put my iban number. When I call my US bank and asked about it, first they said I had to be there in person, which is impossible right now. Then they told that I would some kind of pin from the bank here to transfer it for the first time but I have been unable to get an official bank account here. Any advice?

Which Italian banks are most American-friendly? We are considering BNL but is there a 'better' option when considering opening an Italian bank account?

*OBVIOUS QUESTION:* I am a US citizen, who will also be an Italian citizen by the end of the year (thank you Marco!) So will I still be a 'foreigner'? Will I be able to open an Italian bank account from the US, even though I haven't been to Italy yet? Or will I need to open the bank account in person in Italy, even though I am an Italian citizen? Also, what I really want is a property in Italy that maximizes my profit in Euros. Can you help me locate and purchase such an investment?

Hello Rafael DiFuria and Marco Permunian.
Mentioned was a Video Walk-through Tour.
Do You get Videos from the Sellers or the Real Estate Agents or do You and Your People take the Video in order to make sure that it's Current Video of the Actual Teue Condition of the Property instead of an old and outdated Video that could show previous conditions that could hide issues that the seller might unknowingly receive after finally going to the Newly Purchased Property?

I had asked my bank (a regional one) if I can transfer my bank account funds to Italy. They can but at a high fee of 1.00 Euro = 1.066 USD (with the EURO/USD on parity the past few days). You had mentioned, WISE and wondering how the funds are transferred this way and if the commissions and/or fees just as high as my bank or much lower? Has Marco had experience in WISE, sending out maybe over 100k EURO to Italy and how low(or high) are their fees? If not, WISE any other alternatives?

Hello! Just a question as I can’t find a reliable source online anout this but is the 90% and 70% reduction when moving to the south or the north still valid in 2022 and 2023? Thank you so much for your videos

Actually, with online banking, most people rarely use checks here in the US anymore.
