👎👎 1:03 just because the mere fact that this (or any service) comes from private companies does not always ensue that it must be cheaper. That kind of thinking has brought us to easily overwhelmed and undercut national health services globally.
What made Space X drive down the cost was engineering innovation, reusing rockets and optimizing rocket stages. Where the money comes and the outcomes of which from shouldn't matter a difference if from public or private $, albeit Nasa was always politically frozen and fell out of favour in the 80s for the Pendagon and Military Industrial Complex.
