Intel processors don't require much ram speed for gaming, yet the early Ryzen processors pretty much need faster ram and the current generation doesn't exactly need it but benefits can be seen. To anyone buying a Ryzen CPU I recommend you look for recent recommendations for your exact CPU, because a lot of the old problems have been fixed by motherboard upgrades and such.

Some titles prefer faster memory speeds when they are more CPU bound upto 25% increaae in FPS from 2400Mhz to 3200Mhz. So it really depends on the game.

What we doing with Ryzen not supporting quad channel? What are we doing with 3000 or EVEN 4000mhz ram being available? Also concider rusts minimum of like 10 to 12 gigs of AVAILABLE ram? Where is the latency too, like thats also important and kinda breaks the concept of RAM frequency benefits if you don't account for that too. Fine presentation but a bit unaccurate to 2019 exactly.

My CPU supports RAM up to 2933 MHz (or sth like that).
I want to upgrade since I only got 1x16 GB RAM with 2400 MHz. Of course I want another stick to get to dual channel usage. I don't know if I should just try to find the same RAM stick I have, if I should buy 2 sticks with 2666 MHz or 3000 MHz...
