The crash tested car is for Japan or other markets that use a higher grade of steel. In India they will make the car with lower grade of steel as per the standard company doctrine, to reduce costs, improve fuel efficiency, lower the selling price, and improve profits by selling higher number of vehicles.

It is not that they can't make strong and sturdy vehicles, it's just that they won't. :)

Good Build quality not necessarily score high crash test rating . Wrong terminology . MnM Bolero has good build quality but if crash test happens it will score zero .
