One year later, Sehnsucht drops in North America. My best friend in jr. high had an older brother who was a metal head, and he bought that album. We went into his room when he was working and saw that image of Schneider on the album cover and how edgy it looked. We popped the CD into the stereo, and we were blown away. I initially thought the bad had two different singers because when I heard the beginning of Spiel Mit Mir and Klavier, I had no idea it was Till.

As soon as it was released in NA, I bought Herzeleid and became an even bigger fan of that album because to me, it has so much more energy.

I saw them at a small venue in Minneapolis in 2001 when they were on their Mutter tour. It was a great show! I had already purchased their Live Aus Berlin live album and VHS tape, so I was hyped to hear what they might do with the songs off of Mutter. During one of their songs on the live in Berlin album, the audience chanted "HEY!" so I knew if they played that song, they'd expect us to do the same thing...and they did. I started the "HEY!" chant and Paul pointed right at me. It was awesome.

It's my dream to see them live.. I had the tickets to see them in Germany.. for some stupid reason couldn't be there.. hope they go back on tour soon
