Do you replace that cheap factory grease?

It sure would have been nice for you to show us beginners how you put the new grease in the unit so we know how much to use or not use and where it needs to go or not go?

Once again... another informative video. I started replacing the factory grease per your videos.

My Flex mini DA is exactly what I needed, power to blast through the smaller area contours
and not bog down. Though it did get noticeably warm during use. So it is off to the automotive
store for 1 or 2 tubes of grease. As soon as I watch the Vid. a few more times, I should be ready to tackle this.
Just received a new Griot's Boss 21. Once I get this down, I will go thru all my polishers.
Thank You very much for all the great info Brian ! Shine On !! :)

I was getting a little nervous when I replaced the old grease on my harbor freight polisher with some wheel bearing grease. Now I know that I made the right decision after watching this video. Thanks allot Brian as always.😉

replaced the factory grease in my Rupes MarkIII 15mm with Schaeffer’s 219. Amazing results. Quieter and cooler running. Just did my Griots 3 inch as well. Rotary is next up.

Very informative video, even if I don't own a polisher.
Keeping mechanical parts well lubrificated is the key.
I worked at a CNC shop, bad % of water/oil and utensiles starts to pop like popsicles.

I'm really into grease. Hope that sounded right. One of my interests requires the use of grease. A lot of grease. All kinds of lube and grease in particular. Old grease is removed and replaced with new grease. Today I was dealing with grease that's over 100yo - essentially a solid. Good times. Haven't tried the grease you recommended, but I will. FWIW, my two favorites come from Mobil: their Moly grease and the (red) synthetic in a can. The Citrol folks also offer a Moly grease that looks good, but I've yet to use it. Have it in my Amazon cart, though.

Nice video Brian. You know your stuff unlike a couple of "know it alls", in their mind on YouTube. I just picked up a Makita PO5000C and just may tackle this project. Although, I already have a Rupes 21 MKII, Rupes Duetto, Rupes Mini, Griot's BOSS G15, 2- Griot's GG6's, Griot's 3" and a FLEX XFE Mini like this one in the video. I haven't changed the grease in any of those yet.

thanks for this awesome video, my Flex L3406 VRG based 19mm orbit throw polisher needs some better grease as it's getting really hot now.

Hi Brian, I have a flex PE-8 mini rotary that is leaking oil badly where the head bolts on. Do you think doing this would fix it? Thanks for any input.

Hi Brian, great video once again. I wanted to thank you for your tips especially on using laundry soap for interior detailing. I did so yesterday on my car and got fantastic results on all surfaces and stains. The many products I needed in the past to clean different parts of the car remained in the bag, unused. I also wanted to ask what your video recording setup consists of. Your videos are super smooth, stable and of great quality. Have a great day.

I could be mistaken but I thought I saw red thread locker on the screws on the gear box. If so, you may want to put a dot on each during reassembly.
