I once again politely request
A 6.7 guide for the major nations, it is laughable that I still see 6.7s struggle in full uptiers or even a slight uptier, I know it would be very demanding but, in the long run it would help a majority of the community

lower front plate is a very reliable shot in my experience. I even use it with solid shot.

Also, you're downplaying the IS-4M's armor. You have to be extremely careful even with 90mm HEAT, since you still need to aim for weak spots (most of the turret and upper front plate is thick enough to block 90mm HEAT, especially if angled). The side is also 180mm thick, so always always always shoot the lower side.

18:53 That’s only if they are a baby and don’t angle. If it’s an angled KV 220 you should be fearful… It’s silly to act like no one can angle unless it’s a tiger lol.

here, as an old Russian main I'll tell you all the weak spots myself

KVs: Shoot the lower plate, *NOT* the turret
IS-2s: same thing as the KVs, the only time you should aim at the turret at all is to break its barrel
For the IS-3/4M/6 and the T-10A: have HEATFS... or break its barrel and track it, hopefully someone with HEATFS will kill it, or go for the inconsistent side shot, aim for where the suspension starts
T-10M: there is only 2 situations: you have to get the suspension side shot or you can kill this thing no problem... or you're in an autocannon light tank
IS-7: if a Sherman 76 can side shot it than you can too, frontally though it is the same situation as the T-10M
Object 279: HEATFS or darts straight to the drivers port, the only difference is on side shots for once actually DO shoot the turret with your highest penetrating round

or just play Sweden and just lol pen all these heavy's, its all fun and games until the IS-2 gets hit with HEATFS or a T-10M gets hit with a top attack BILL missile

M82 can actually pen the is-4 driver port like aim just right below the line thing its like 100mm

For the guide to be complete I feel like I should add a few more weakspots to the list

- Matilda has a quite weak drivers hatch (its only 20mm). Its very well angled but u can pen the raised edges from the front, from the side they are flat and u can pen them with a 37mm. Bcz the crew is so cramped even small explosive mass shells have a godo chance to destroy it in 1 shot

- the early KV1s have very good turret cheek armor (the bulged area, not the flat plate), the bulge itself is 75mm all around and behind there is also another 75mm plate. Some shrapnel might get around but its not a reliable weakspot, u should never shoot at them.
An important note, the kv1 zis 5 may look similar but the backing 90mm plate doesnt extend almost at all behind the bulge and as a result it is very weak.

- KV1c has a strong turret but the mantlet is weak, quite large and should not be a volumetric nightmare

- KV-85, 122, IS-1, obj 248 and the early IS-2 have volumetric or partially volumetric hull armor but the turret on them isnt. Unlike these 3, the KV-1s and IS-2 1944 do and that means they are harder to pen/ their armor is very trolly (im bunching all of them together bcz they share a similar turret design)

- higher pen rounds like the pzgr on the long 88 can pen the IS-4 in the drivers hatch (the upper half of the flat part is not super thick). The entire turret is 200mm thick and well angled, the rear is 170mm. The only area u can pen with high pen conventional shells is the flat-ish lip that comes a third of the way up the turret. The armor is quite resistant to 90mm heat-fs but 105 apds and heat will go straight thru. Aim for the hull corners, there are always ammo charges in there.

- 279 armor is in reality very overrated, 105 heat can go thru, 105 apfsds can go thru, ATGMs can go thru and most tanks at 8.3 have at least one of these

Could you try to include weakspot when they angle like 30° since more often than not players are more likely to angle their hull instead of pointing head on.

The true problem is that a KV will never be facing you head on, they'll always be at a 45° angle, with their very thick side armor, makes the vehicle a lot harder to kill

Just do not, ever go for the hull of a angled KV tank, unless, you have a very powerful gun! If they're angled, just go for turret or breach.

I feel like a bit more distance and a slight angle of like ~20 degree or lower would have been helpful to show off "non ideal" weak points.

You did mention bushes but extra information and weakspots of common tactics like angling(kv series), sidescraping(is1/2), and even reverse sidescraping(scummy) would be really helpful. Also the arcade penetration indicator could be useful to visualize the size of the weak spots and speed up repeats.

I wish you had mentioned the side weakspot on the KV1. The front side between the roadwheels is really good, even with a German 5cm.

The LFP is also terrible on the IS1 & 2, even angled pretty heavily. Not so much of weakspot but a great spot to aim for with the short 88.

You can pen the is4-m lower part of the upper front plate where the driver hatch would be with 240mm of penetration. (For example, with the aphe on the type 59 from the chinese tech tree)

If the kv-2 is fighting my team I normally flank and shoot the side of the turret as it is entirely flat and you can disable the gunners so they can’t kill your team with like one shell

Only one on this list that really stomps matches is the KV-1E and the B by extension. Things are better armored than the KV-1 ZiS-5 with a little bit less penetration on the gun, and .7 BR lower.
