My sister was assaulted and out over $20k in unpaid rent, damages and attorney fees to evict a ‘@&!’ former warehouse manager.
Landlords have everything to lose. Tenants have every opportunity to save and buy their own homes. No excuses.

Talibans lives better than most American. We need Islamic Emirate states of America with sharia constitution and abolished all housing rental aka slavery.

Fine. Let the "eviction advocates" pay those delinquent rents.

Sorry but y’all had 2 years to come up with some sort of back up plan or too stash a little something aside. No sympathy here

You're talking about hiring lawyers and such but it seems if you pay the rent in full you should be able to stay put

Gov't should audit the bank accounts of those requesting the rent relief... pretty sure they would save quite a bit and actually give more to those in actual need... example, the Veterans that served in order for us to continue to be free.

Blame the scammers who flooded the system with reapplications. Free rent protections if you apply and free money if you qualify.

if this story was broadcasted a year from now. people would still say evictions need to be extended. this has been going on for 2 years

Gonna get paid in the end, so when is the end? How long do people expect landlords to hang on. This absolutely crazy. You just can't steal a person's property and think that it is okay. This won't last forever.

“Now facing the reality of possibly losing their home”…what? Since when people think they can own a home that they did not make payments for? The reality should have kicked in when those people lost their jobs and they should have pick up any job they can. Instead, they stopped working completely be lazy and thinks homelessness won’t happen to them? That really baffles me how people thinks…you can’t baby someone and expect them to grow up. Enough is enough, no more tax payers money wasted on these nonsense.

You know who else has been falling into homelessness? Landlords who have to go out of pocket to house these tenants.

I say take them to Collections and make sure you GARNISH their wages and of those stimulus checks and tax refunds, child tax credits.

Whew!!! I pray the people in these comments never fall on hard times … I hope they all refer back to this post lol. Bottom line is Landlords are going to get a bail out, even if tenants pay the rent. I am a landlord and I would never put a family out… I would discuss a payment plan.
