It is a terrible idea to have boxed food sent to people on food stamps. I rarely buy a coke. I don't eat junk food. I'm not a child who is eating candy, chips, or ice cream. Occasionally I will buy ice cream. Compared to what the politicians eat. Hey let's do a scientific test on the politicians and have them try it out for a year and see if they could eat all the box food that would be sent out to the poor. Yes from president congress down to the mayors.

Is this per month? I am a Senior-72 and the amounts have fluctuated all through the year, due to my meager part time job. $23 has been my last 4 months amount. Not a big help at all.

I watch friends spend their food stamps every month on crap food. These foods are foods you pop in the microwave. These are what they feeds there kids instead of getting up and cooking. Yes they can cook they just choose not to. The cost is the same for microwave food or cooking it your self. I am all for restrictions on the stamps. Take off sodas, big bag of candy’s not all just the jumbo bags. Diabetes need them for massive sugar drops.
