I disagree with food being chosen by someone else for people because: 1) Some people have food allergies, intolerances, including diabetes. Therefore, people need to choose their own food in order to stay healthy and not get sick; 2) Different cultures have different ways of eating including some who are vegetarian, vegan, and those folks who can only eat Kosher food, as required by their religious doctrines. So in my opinion, not allowing people to make their own food choices is a form of discrimination.

Im 74, I get 24.00 for COLA in 2025. Because of this my SNAP dropped by $10.00. this happens everytime we seniors get a "cost of living". .raise.
Plus I lost, dental, vision and catastrophic . I've been disabled since 2006.

I'm 71 on $980 SS a month.Just got letter from food stamps lowering my monthly to $79. Still cleaning up from Helene. Creek flooded. Still got my house. Need some surgery. Can't afford it. Wear two jock straps to keep my innards in. I aint complaining but been working since 15 yrs old. Don't seem right that folks that just came here get way lots more. free medical too.
Thank God I own my own land.

Use as many food pantries as you can. In my area they allow you to go to more than 1. It really helps especially for those people who only get 23.00/ which is a slap in the face.

I wasn't aware of the "Lime" program. And I'm blessed to receive the food card.. I'm 65, and single on S.S. Sometimes I buy a sm rack of ribs, about $16.. But, I can make 3 meals from that. The people that complain about us don't understand, we know how to stretch it. My how to stretch your food card cookbook, will be out in March.. not really..lol. Ty for helping us.

Sir, I don't know how where you are getting these calculations from because those who gets Social Security, SSI ect. received the 2.5 % raise and it caused the food stamps amount decreased same amount of the raise.🤮 This absolutely doesn't make sense 🤯😤.

Leave food stamps alone. Some people have dietary problems and can't eat certain foods and what about allergies. If someone can't eat something and they throw it away how is that saving anything? That's considered waste. They are gaining a thing. That just won't work and why should we be told what we can eat? Give me a break! Why don't they take cuts in their salaries? ??
