Best things I did for confidence:
Stopped wearing makeup
Stopped dying my hair
Deleted social media
Work out for energy and skills and not for how I look
Stopped eating junk food
Stopped looking in the mirror

Never been more relaxed, happy and healthy.

I once saw the writer Isabel Allende in an interview, and she was talking about her insecurities when she was younger (being very small, etc.). And she told a story about how she once worked for a designer, and they had the job of hiding or somehow covering up a massive pillar in a home they perceived as ugly, right in the middle of the house they were working on. They couldn't do it; nothing worked. And in the end, they decided to instead paint it bright red and make it a statement. Then Isabel said in the interview that she had learned from this: "If you can't hide it, SHOW IT." Boom. It has been years since I saw that interview but this advice really stuck with me, and I apply it frequently (among other pearls of wisdom because that woman is amazing). If you can't hide it, show it.

I’m built like my dad- tall, broad shoulders, and muscular. My build has always plagued my thoughts because I never feel feminine. But as I’m older I realize femininity ≠ dainty and small. I’m learning to love my strength

I love how gently motivating your videos are. I don’t feel overwhelmed to make change. Instead, it feels like small, manageable steps. Thank you 💗

You are so right about this! I am a blue-eyed redhead with freckles and I got teased a lot when I was a young girl. I flipped the script a long time ago and decided to embrace my pale skin, my blue eyes and my red hair. Turns out, red hair and blue eyes is the rarest color combination on the planet. Talk about unique!

I'm with you on the jaw one. I used to think my jaw was too masculine and felt insecure about it. Now people get jaw implants to look like that. Beauty standarts are temporary, it's important to learn to appreciate uniqueness from a young age, especially for women.

Please use sunscreen, y’all. No matter your skin type, daily sun protection is essential for preventing premature aging & skin cancer. I’ve noticed a big difference in the health of my skin since simplifying my skincare & making sunscreen a daily habit. ✌️

I totally agree that less is more when it comes to outer beauty. My skin is so healthy and beautiful and all I use is cleanser and moisturizer. I drink lots of water, eat well, and get lots of exercise / fresh air. I think that's all it takes!

And I wanted to say that after (binge) watching your videos I realized I didn't have very many clothes that made me feel beautiful and feminine and that were my age, so I invested in myself and went shopping and it's been a game changer! If anyone else feels this way and has the means, go to a store where they're willing to help you find the best pieces for you, because if you're like me, I didn't even know what to look for! It's only been a week but having nice clothes that I feel good in is life-changing. Thanks Jillz!

As a licensed skincare professional I think a lot of the problems people have when it comes to skincare aren't from using "too many" products. They come from using the wrong products for your skin type and skin conditions. Nutrition can go a long way in skin health, and I agree that a simple routine is great, but going to a licensed professional to learn what your skin needs rather than following the advice of influencers who don't have any formal education in skincare is important.

For the first time in like 20 years, I'm going back to my natural hair. I started dying around 13 years old. I thought my natural brown was so boring, I would dye it red, auburn or black. Though I was always doubting whether these shades actually went with my skin, but I did it anyway out of this strange hatred for my medium brown. Well, after dealing with depression and letting the color go for a couple years, my hair is mostly natural again. I kept telling myself that I was going to dye it again until I started realizing how beautiful my brown looked next to my skin complexion and eyes. Like you say, it's like the whole package was designed to flatter each part. I think I going to stick with my color for awhile as it seems I'm finally starting to appreciate it.

It's crazy honestly! I've always been insecure about my skin. The problem is for the opposite reason. I'm naturally tanned and I was born in a country where people prefer pale skin! I was so self conscious about it when I was a teenager, I even stopped going to the beach/pool. But that makes you realize that you'll never make everybody happy, so we should just embrace who we are 🌼🤍

I'm glad you made peace with your jawline. It was actually one of the first things I've noticed about you and I absolutely love it! Isn't it funny, how we believe that we think of something as an insecurity, but someone else love this feature? (=

My skin changed so much when I started visualizing myself out in the world with beautiful glowing acne free skin. Those thoughts and images naturally directed me to making the decisions that helped me clear my acne from the inside out and also using gentle products. (I use honey to cleanse my skin)❤ and now I look at my skin the way I used to imagine. So good 😍

Such solid advice!!!! It wasn’t until I started resetting my gut microbiome that I started getting the skin and hair I used to dream about 😅 Internal love & health = External beauty & radiance. 💖

And this is why I keep coming back each week...I have been sitting here shaking my head "yes" the entire time you have been speaking. I wish I had your knowledge-base when I was your age. You are definitely well-versed in this capacity. As always, another great and relevant video. Have a lovely week!

I‘m 14 and the whole blond-turning-darker thing is happening to me rn, and I‘ve just started panicking a little bit😅🙈 and dying it back blond (since this summer), but you‘ve inspired me to let it go🥰 Thank you so much, your videos are so amazing!!!

One of the best beauty decisions I ever made was returning to my natural hair color. At 29, I ditched the platinum blonde for medium brown with natural highlights. I absolutely feel so much classier and more beautiful PLUS It’s much cheaper, easier.

You posted this at the perfect time, as I had my hair color appointment scheduled for next week. I’m naturally a dirty blonde and started coloring my hair to make it look more bright/platinum a few years ago. I love how it looks but I don’t love how damaging the process has been on my hair. I just looked at myself in the mirror and cancelled my appointment for next week. Thank you ❤❤❤

I decided a few weeks ago to grow out my natural hair color, instead of dying it childhood blonde, which I’ve been doing for decades. Thanks for confirming that’s the right decision.
