I got the base model 14” but with 2tb. Went one a few trips last year and the video files on each trip averaged to about 400gb per trip.

To those who have not made the plunge yet, go ahead, you won't be sorry. I got the 10 core CPU 16 core GPU model and my fans have yet needed to turn on with basic tasks. I am use to the thickness since I came from a Late 2013 MacBook 13 and this feels about the same. The sound out of the speakers will blow you away. If you rely on screen size while traveling, get yourself the 16" model. Mine is docked to an Apple Monitor 99% of the time, so laptop screen size didn't matter and the 14" is fine.

Buy what you want and can afford, otherwise, your decision will haunt you. I got a 10CPU 16GPU 14 inch M1 Pro Macbook Pro because I want that and can afford it too. No regrets whatsoever.

Sizewise, it is less tha one pencil width thicker than the 13 inch MBAir and 13 inch MBPro.

So question I have the 14 inch 10 core 16 core 1tb MacBook Pro. Do U think it’s worth it to exchange it for the 16 inch for the bigger screen. By the way I also have 2 custom built desktop pcs by me one is a I9-9940X 14c/28 thread with a RTX 3090 64GB ram hooked on a 28 inch 4K monitor and the other one is a i7-6900K 8c/16 thread with a RTX 3070 and a 32GB Ram hooked on a 32 inch 1440p 144hz monitor. I only do video editing which is why I choose the 10 Core M1 Pro MacBook Pro instead of the M1 Max plus I know my desktops are faster but then again the MacBook Pro I bought is only for video editing when I’m not home and it’s extremely fast to
