Many cultures dont have a culture of adoption. Orphaned or abandoned kids are abandoned to the streets or orphanages. Adoption isnt perfect but its the best solution we have. Why were chinese couples not stepping up to adopt her?

I don't know what the details of her adoption and life were/are like. It could be that her adopted parents abused her and used her...if that's the case, than her adoption could actually be trafficking. That would be tragic if that's the case. It would also be understandable to project her own situation onto all of adoption. However, I do believe most going through the grueling process of foreign adoption are doing it to provide loving homes, loving families, and loving experiences for the children being adopted...and cannot truthfully be classified as trafficking.

Adoption is always trauma and in a perfect world, children would always be with their biological mom and dad. It’s needed, but even with a happy childhood adoptees have trauma from abandonment.

Foreign adoption can be tricky, there are far to many cases where women give up their children because they cant afford to raise them, I personally wouldn't feel comfortable spending thousands of dollars to separate a mother and child just so I could raise the baby. I'd rather take that money and help the family raise their baby. I know there's nuances and this is a very short clip, but I imagine at the end of the day, Allie would agree we should be doing everything in our power to keep families intack rather than spending thousands to separate them. If a child is truly an orphan, then yes adopt them, but if they're not, then support the family instead.

It's so sad that she doesn't realize that being adopted is a reason she is alive today, and being adopted by an American family is the only reason she is freely able to shave her head and make tic tok videos about how terrible she thinks adoption and her life are.

She has no clue, her life would have been so different had she not been adopted. So many children don't even survive to long enough to get to an orphanage, and many children don't leave the orphanage by adoption and are basically left to fend for themselves as they get older. She certainly wouldn't be bald talking garbage on the internet if a family didn't adopt her.

She should be talking truth about the country and leaders and policies that caused her parents to have to put her up for adoption, not the family and country that allowed her education and freedom and life.

I wonder what her birth parents would say to her if they saw her now.
