Reason why American tech companies are surviving, is because the engineering force is dominated by foreign engineers from China and India.

according from the history, it is sure that China will develop their own products if they can't buy from the US, such as Huawei, China C919, WeChat, Baidu, Alipay....

For a short term, China will suffer from this sudden loss of chip and android supply. But it is interesting to see which companies will occupy the market when American leaves, Chinese own companies or from EU, Japan...

Thanks to Trump and US now all companies will think of making their OS. Thanks to Trump for playing a tough guy.. World is realising US cannot be trusted wether it’s Huawei issue, Iran deal or Venezuelan crisis.

Android is not an American operating system. Android is a version of Linux. Linux is an operating system that was primarily developed by one person living in Finland who has a very strong ideological belief in sharing intellectual property. The issue of the applications built on top of the Android API has more potential to be a problem. But, their developers want to sell them to as many users as possible. It is certainly possible to sell application software directly to end users without any involvement of Huawei. The big problem is the potential escalations where the United States tries to force any business anywhere in the world with some part of its supply chain in the United States to either not do business with China or lose access to any part of its supply chain or its customers who are in the United States or who do any business with the United States. That kind of American aggression would mean destruction of the global economy. It may be possible to isolate the attack on Huawei enough to keep the escalations under control. But war is a destructive activity. The Americans organizing the attack on Huawei want war. Their only interest is in victory no matter what the cost.

I'd like to see a Huawei Mate X with the new mobile system(Hong Meng) installed, which should be faster, better-looking, and more cost-effective, which means customers are going to pay less.

It is not only today that US does this. It was since the 50s, from Nuclear tech, satelite and space exploration, defence science etc... China was shunned but yet struggled to developed their own to the extent that they are accused of stealing from US.
Can a country developed to this level just by stealing?

This entire thing is just bad for consumers.
I am really questioning if this is a good move in the long term. Right now it seems like it's making US companies look unreliable as well.
I am afraid China probably won't be the only country realized the problem with technological
Is this really an action of cutting off? Rather than cutting loose?
