@Hannah Alice There are no intermolecular forces in diamond as diamond does not exist in molecular form. There are no molecules, there is a giant covalent structure which is held together by many strong covalent bonds. Intermolecular forces are weak forces which act between molecules.

So to brake the bonds between sodium and chlorine could you use water to weaken the bonds to then eventually break the bonds or not
