Ant pupae wakes up (time lapse HD)

Lasius Niger queen ant with two young nantics wait for a pupae to wake up and join them. The pupae really starts to come alive around 6:30 and then the queen and nantics spring into action to help free the baby ant. At 7:20 you can see some of the filaments that wrap around the pupae's legs and which need to be removed before she can walk. By 8:00 the new nantic is able to walk but the other ants still spend a lot time attending to her. This video shows five stages of ant life: egg, larvae, pupae, nantic and queen.
Taken through a Wild Heerbrugg M8 stereo zoom microscope using a Samsung NX 3000 camera (APS sensor) mounted afocally over one eyepiece. The time lapse is 20X.

I love how the queen can GRAB the baby like a human would with there hands, and turn it over to lick and wake it up, its so sweet and any antkeeper knows ants have emotions, its so abvious here, how they get excited over the new baby waking up.

How long does it take from cocoon hatchling to this stage when we have walking ant? I have two newly hatched ants, and they are not moving, they are white! Is that normal?
