How To Reset TP-Link Router To Factory Default Settings

Eric shows you how to reset a TP-Link router to factory default settings. This works for all the TP-Link routers.

There is a pin hole on the back or bottom of the router with a button inside. You'll want to find a pointy sharp object, such as a pen or safety pin, to press into the hole and hold the button down.

1. Make sure the power is plugged in!
2. Then hold the button down for at least 10 seconds

The router will not have factory default password and settings applied, just like when it came new from the store!

I hard reset my tp link router as directed in this video and I can’t access the website without the tp link being connected yet it continues to ask me for a password on my WiFi connection

Hi, My "Tp-Link Archer c50 V1" router is bricked and would like to get help in this regard.
I flashed Openwrt firmware on it using web gui of the router.After this the router went to bootloop with single led and then all led's blinking in alternate fashion with 2 sec delay.
I used the TFTPD to read log file and then flashed the original firmaware back after renaming it as per tftpd log .After this the router bricked further(the red led glows for a sec when I power on the router but then no Led's blink).I cannot use tftpd at this stage .Is there any way to still get it working?

After reseting my router I cannon connect to it via Tether app and my tplink account anymore. Old password is not valid and I don't know what to do..

I have made an update for the router from my phone, then i could not access it, only one red light in the middle . I could not reset it it would not respond
