What to do if you CAN'T DRAG AUDIO into FL Studio

this didnt fix my problem when i import or drag an mp3 into my new untouched project it just makes a little line on one of the tracks or sometimes a little red line with the mp3 just pushed together with no sound making it replay over and over again plz someone help me

For anyone still having problems with this. You might be dragging samples directly from a zipped folder. Copy or cut them into a new folder and voila ! It solved it for me.

What about trying to drag a mp3 into it but it actually lands on a track, but it’s small as hell and doesn’t play!

Seen a few comments about people still not being able to drag & drop files
but when they do it imports the file but you can only see a very small line....
I believe this is some type of glitch or w.e
if the file your trying to drop is an mp3 try converting it to a wav file.
this immediately fixed my issue. In the past I've never had issues with
mp3 files but with the most recent update mp3 & mp4 files don't seem to work.

My Problem: Converted my file to both .mp3 and .wav but Fl studio still wouldnt let me drag and drop my file. Administrative box was unchecked and I did not successfully locate the user folder mentioned in the forum.

SOLUTION: Left click file that you're trying to drag on Fl studio -> Select "open with" -> Select FL studio.

Afterwards open FL studio -> click "add" button -> click audio clip -> select "my files" -> select "my samples" TADA you should see the file. I was so excited when this method worked for me, hope it helps someone else. Happy creating yall.

My Problem is when I go to properties, I have only 4 options. Which means I can´t choose compatibility

I got another solution!

Check that sample or mp3 file's name and folder's name! It should be readable properly and make sure it has simple title!

Example :

If your folder name is "SAMPLE_PACK_FREE_Trap_Beat" then it won't work because FL couldn't read properly the folder's title!
Same goes with the mp3 file name, if that file's name is also unreadable then fl studio won't let you drag it!

So change the folder and sample's name to readable like "Sample Pack Free Trap Beat" or "Sample.mp3"

So basically in mt case was a human error, I was trying to drag and drop audios from a zip folder, idk if this is your case but make sure to extract the folder first. I realized it after I read a comment on this video. Thank you
