Makas Dasigenis, a 69-year-old Altadena resident, battled the raging Eaton Fire for six hours to save his home and those of his neighbors. Using ingenuity, a generator, and a water pump, he drew water from a pool to fight the flames after realizing his neighborhood was under threat. Despite the danger, Dasigenis credits his faith and determination for his success, vowing to honor his promise of gratitude when he returns to Greece.
