Appendicitis
Appendicitis refers to the inflammation of the appendix which is a small finger shaped pouch connected to the colon, on the right side of the abdomen.

Symptoms to look for:
• Inflammation of appendix
• Pus in appendix and which gives yo severe pain

Food groups to consume in appendicitis:
1. Soluble fiber: Facilitate smooth bowel movement
Foods to consume: Oats, pulses, pulpy fruits like apples, oranges, papaya, sapodilla (chickoo), and vegetables like beetroots, carrots, tomato, cucumber and spinach
2. Consuming fenugreek seeds may also help as it prevents accumulation of mucous and wastes in the intestine

Recipes based on the above food groups:
Recipe 1: Salad
1. Take a beetroot & boil it
2. De-skin & now grate it
3. Also peel & grate 1 carrot
4. Chop 1 tomato into small pieces
5. Mix them all in a bowl together
6. Add 1 tsp lemon juice
7. Add salt and pepper to taste
Recipe 2: Herbal drink
1. Take 2 cups of water.
2. Cut and add 8-10 lemon grass leaves to it.
3. Add 1 small piece of ginger.
4. Now put 2 tsp fenugreek seeds in it.
5. Add some jaggery for sweetness.
6. Boil this water till it reduces to about 1 ½ cup.
7. Then strain it
8. Drink while it’s hot

• Avoid foods white sugar, refined flour, meat, spices, tea,
coffee & fried foods
