Too fast even when forced to carry extra lead weight. Those sharp turbo plumbing bends must've been to keep the competition within ten car lengths and give the R32 at least a short Strayan racing career. That was very kind of the engineers and fabrication team.

My metal fab and welding OCD, with a love for flow and efficiency would struggle to make such pretzel pipes, but now I see how the locally made boat anchor powered cars stayed within the same lap. Often behind the Cosworths. Would have been cool to see 2JZs at Bathurst and Mazda should have kept the rotors off the mountain until they were boosted and put against these other monster's. Could have all been banned together in a boosted small capacity hat trick...
