Attack on Titan (Shingeki no Kyojin) is a dark fantasy anime and manga series created by Hajime Isayama. It is set in a world where humanity lives inside three massive walls to protect themselves from man-eating Titans. The story follows Eren Yeager, who vows to destroy all Titans after witnessing the brutal death of his mother during a Titan attack on his hometown.

Eren joins the Survey Corps along with his childhood friends Mikasa Ackerman and Armin Arlert to fight Titans and uncover the secrets of their existence. During battle, Eren discovers that he has the ability to transform into a Titan, making him a key figure in humanity’s fight for survival. As the series progresses, the characters uncover shocking truths about the Titans, the history of their world, and the origin of the walled society.

The story shifts from a survival narrative to a war between two factions: the people of Paradis Island, where Eren and his friends live, and the outside world led by the Marleyan nation, which seeks to exterminate them. As Eren learns about the cycle of hatred between Eldians and Marleyans, he takes extreme actions, leading to a final battle that determines the fate of humanity.

With intense action, deep political themes, and unexpected twists, Attack on Titan explores freedom, oppression, and the consequences of war, making it one of the most impactful anime of all time.

The Rumbling is a catastrophic event in Attack on Titan where Eren Yeager unleashes millions of Colossal Titans from the walls of Paradis Island to trample the world. It is one of the most devastating moments in the series, marking Eren’s transformation from a freedom-seeking hero to an unstoppable force of destruction.

After gaining the power of the Founding Titan, Eren uses his abilities to awaken the Titans hidden within the walls. His goal is to annihilate the rest of the world to ensure the survival of his people, the Eldians on Paradis Island. The massive army of Colossal Titans begins marching, crushing everything in their path, including cities, people, and landscapes.

Eren’s former friends, including Mikasa, Armin, and the remnants of the Survey Corps, team up with warriors from Marley to stop him. They infiltrate his massive skeletal Titan form, which is controlled by his consciousness. In the final battle, Armin uses the Colossal Titan’s explosion to weaken Eren, while Mikasa delivers the killing blow, ending his life and stopping the Rumbling.

Despite their efforts, a large portion of the world is destroyed, and the cycle of hatred continues, showing the tragic consequences of Eren’s decision. The Rumbling is one of the most intense and emotionally powerful moments in Attack on Titan, symbolizing the cost of revenge, freedom, and the struggle between fate and choice.

People are so annoying, they get annoyed when a manga ends with a happy ending (like Tokyo revengers) and they get mad when it doesn’t end in a happy ending 😒 both are great endings because that’s how it was decided.

Eren still got a happy ending. After killing billions he was still loved by his close friends and they visited his grave for the rest of theirnlives, with mikasa still loving him. Armin agreeing to burn in hell and stay with him for eternity. Eren deserved alot worse for what he did and was criticized for his ending being too happy

Eren getting a happy ending after killing 100percent of humanity would be weird tbh 💀🙏

That would have made a hell of a lot more sense.

“Somewhat more hopeful”

Shows Paradis getting nuked and nuking the rest of the world back in the end credits, literally ending the world again.

Eren was literally right.
Maybe if he has at least finished the rumbling he could have showed Mikasa how good he had gotten at the hardening skill.

Why 80% and not 100%, the enemies are still there, and more numerous than Paradis.

He did that so a sequel could be possible if he wanted one

A happy ending will be so unreal. After killing 80% of humanity he just goes a live a normal life?

People want a happy ending for Eren? What about people like Hange and Sasha that died for him? What about Levi and Mikasa having no one left in the end?

would make much more sense if he killed 100% and then we get to see paradis in the future, and it is still at war, but now amongst themselves, since it's humans we're talking about
