I have a pair of Mixr, and I have compared it to the other Beats headphones. I won't deny the fact that the Beats line of headphones are all pretty bass-heavy, but in my honest opinion, the Mixr has the most balanced sound among them all. The bass on these is a bit overpowering, but I can still hear the mid-range and highs pretty clearly. As for the comfort issue... Yes it was quite uncomfortable the first time i started wearing them, but I got used to them over time. Now I feel fine wearing these headphones. I think the Mixr is the best pair of headphones Beats have made so far. They are definitely not the best pair of headphones out there, but these are undeniably good.
As for the Street by 50 series, I only tried out the on-ear headphones, but from what I hear from their headphones.. I don't know about you guys, but I think that while the bass from their headphones are not as overpowering as the Beats headphones, the mids and highs do not sound as clear either. Not saying they're bad; their headphones are quite good as well. But the sound quality isn't as good as the Beats headphones.
Again, this is just my opinion. I'm not necessarily right; I could be wrong. But that's just my honest opinion.
Also, to all the little kids who have expensive headphones like Beats or Street by 50: you're too young to own these expensive items. You're not holding toys; you're holding hundreds of dollars in your hands. Instead of wasting your parents' money to get it, wait till you're older, earn some money from part-time jobs or something, and then waste your own money buying your own pair of headphones. You'll treasure it more, and it'll feel more special to you, because you know that you worked hard for it. Trust me, it's a good feeling :)

My friend has the Streets and I have the Mixrs. We did an ultimate comparison and we considered sound leakage, comfort, durability, sound quality, style and portability we agreed that the Mixrs were a no brainer. They might mbe a tad less comfortable but everything else makes the Mixrs worth it. I definately recommend them!

I used to like beats a lot when i got them almost three years ago. Then everybody (mostly ten year olds) started buying them everywhere. It kind of ruined it for me.

I've had the beats mixr for about a month now, and at first I really hated them because of how tight they were. But I tried to convince myself that the pain didn't matter, and I spent some hours hurting myself every day. But I'm glad I did, 'cause today I've got no problems with them at all. They have acctually become a perfect fit with great sound! Amazing!

i've had the sms audio street by 50 for 3 years (i think) and they have been amazing all the way to 2015. super good build quality, and i've had no issues at all. the sound quality is just amazing, and you can hear every aspect of a song. it gives you a nice balance of what sounds you hear, instead of being just bass and no bass. these headphones are perfect in every aspect. and to those of you that are concerned about size, they fit me perfect, and in your backpack/bag they will not take up much space.

I've tested both the Beats Mixr and the sms audio.
I liked the sms audio a lot, but i bought the mixr instead, they're pretty comfortable if u have a small head like me (lol), the sound is so good balanced even the bass is very good balanced :D

I have the mixr's, and it's flaw can be easily fixed. You can get rid of its tightness by streching them out and placing something that's bigger than your head inbetween both earcups for e.g the box it came with, or a stack of books, or both. Dont be afraid to open them wide, the bow is made of metal, so it wont snap and brake like the solos leave it overnight and you will notice the difference in the morning. Ive heard people leave them streched in a week, but mine wre ok after like 3 nights.

Please when you refer to EDM (Electronic Dance Music) don't call it dubstep just call it EDM or electronic, because dubstep is just a sub-genre of EDM. Thanks!

Very informative and helpful review, but two Questions:
-What made you decide to compare and on-ear vs an over-ear headphones? Was it just the timing of their release and target market (celebrity colab: 50 and Dre)?
-Do you find any on-ear to be more comfortable than over-ear headphones?
