This is the NEW 2022 Mazda 2 Hybrid It is based on the New 2022 Toyota Yaris and it is even made in the same factory. So is this a re-badged Yaris or is there a benefit to going Mazda? The Mazda 2 Hybrid comes as Pure, Select, and Agile. This has all the new Mazda 2 specifications and compares them to the Yaris

I have heard there is an issue with the 12 volt battery on the Yaris going dead very quickly if you do not do longer journeys and maybe generally do not use the car on a regular day to day basis. I just wonder if the Mazda has the same problem. They are made in the same factory.

The Toyota Yaris Excel comes with 17" wheels whereas the Mazda Select has 16" wheels. Personally, I think that Toyota offer more attractive wheel options. The Toyota also has a wider range of accessory packs, especially cosmetic, than the Mazda. Apart from that, I can't see any difference.

What do you think about the midrange for the Mazda 2 Hybrid, that's the Agile. I love everything about it but it doesn't have rear parking sensors, just a rear parking camera. What will you advice? Should this be a deal breaker? Especially for a new driver? Thanks.

Some help please. Which would you rather go for? The middle grade of the Hyundai i20 premium or the middle grade of the Mazda 2 Hybrid agile?

Thanks.

Is it any different ? It certainly is because on 15 inch alloys the Mazda has a far better ride quality than the Yaris which only has a choice of 16 or 17 inch wheels.

If I was considering either the Mazda or the Toyota I would go for the the Toyota. The Mazda has a three year warranty, the Toyota has a five year warranty.

Hi, when I was in the dealership checking this car out (top of the range select) I was impressed at how solid the doors sounded when opening and closing which was the complete opposite to a lot of the reviews I watched of the Toyota Yaris with the doors being horribly tinny and was a massive turn off for me. My question is do all the trim levels of the Mazda 2 have the same solid feel when closing them? as I want to order the Agile with comfort pack as the Select is a bit out of my price range.

Shopping for a high spec small automatic but they all, including this one, fall short in some area. This Yaris clone, where's the heated seats and steering wheel and speaking of steering wheel, why no illumination of the many buttons?
The true Mazda 2 top spec automatic, where's the front sensors (I know they can be dealer fitted) and why the old technology halogen daytime lights.
Spoiling the ship for a ha'penny worth of tar.
