'Trans Athletes Won't Get Periods!' Fiery Debate On Transgender Women In Sports

Piers Morgan Uncensored is joined by British shot put champion Amelia Strickler, and human rights campaigner Peter Tatchell, to debate the banning of transgender women from competing in women's sports and the impact it is having on female sport in general.

Piers begins by expressing concerns that women's sports records are being broken due to a clear physical advantage that transgender women athletes have, in certain sports, due to growing up with a male body that has higher levels of testosterone.

Peter Tatchell agrees that in some cases it could be unfair, but says it is equally unfair to have a blanket ban for all transgender athletes, where some don't have a clear physical advantage. Tatchell believes each athlete should be treated individually.

Amelia suggests that even those who may not have a physical advantage, still don't have the same biological makeup as women, and so will not go through things like periods and other conditions that biologically born women will.

There's not a SINGLE male that cheers when a trans-man competes in a woman's league. Not one. We are with you ladies, this madness needs to end!

The simple fact that this is not an issue in men's sports says a lot.

Womanhood is something that needs to be protected and cherished. It’s not a suit you can just choose to wear one day.

Where are all the trans male athletes?? What a scam! It’s just unfair.

The problem is that they don’t want their own category, they want to bully & force themselves into the already existing categories.

The fact we’re even having this debate tells you the level of madness to which our society has descended

To the transgender community:

Don’t expect me to accept your opinions and truth when you can’t accept my opinion nor truth respectfully. ♥️

And please don’t expect me to learn and use all these new terms, definitions, and pronouns. I’ve learned as much as I need to learn over my lifetime of education. Thank you in advance

As a student who has read medicine. It's not only about the testosterone. It's about the muscle fibers which vary, the lung capacity, drawbacks of estrogen, foot span, bone density and shape, fat deposition, the growth of course, I could go on and on . This just proves we need a blanket ban for trans people competing in women sports. Why don't people get it. There are tran athletes who participate with women and also in the disabled category for women. It's just unfair. It's like using a gun in a sword fight. This community doesn't listen at all, I think that's why the freedom given to them is been withdrawn one step at a time. USA should get a grip on the LGBT situation before it sets a bad example for other countries ( LGBT community suppressing other for their rights)

It should be a blanket ban. No trans person can go against a real woman. End of discussion, go against your fellow trans athletes.

I dated a division one athlete in college - she was one of the strongest on her team and was quite fast. I hadn't been exercising nor was ever considered an exceptional athlete in high school - yet my warm-up bench, squat far exceeded her max and when we would do runs I would easily outpace her. I never once diminished her abilities, just realized, there's a vast difference between the sexes.

A trans woman will never have to try and compete while on "her" period. A few years ago there was a female Chinese swimmer who said she didn't do well in a race because her period had started the day before and she was tired. There are so many side effects from a woman's period. Insomnia, nausea, diarrhea, headaches, body aches, cramps, etc. A trans woman will never be negatively impacted during competition due to a period.

As a biological woman, don't expect us to respect your views and beliefs when you can't respect us.

When I was young I played all sports. When I played basketball the coach told me I should find another sport. I was the shortest player on the team and basically I sucked. My feelings weren't hurt. He was right. I tried football and got my ass kicked then decided baseball would be a better choice. I was a pitcher and outfielder for years. Had a lot of fun. Never once thought, hey I'll pretend I'm a girl and compete against girls. I wouldn't be able to live with myself. If these guys can't compete against other men and live with the fact there not that good. Then start a league with a bunch of guys in dresses and see how that works. Leave the woman alone.

*Trans athlete:* "But when we bleed, we all bleed the same blood."

*Society:* _"Yes, just not from your minge, Dave."_

My female friend was an avid cyclist who rode long Km every day on the road. then introduced her new partner to it so they could ride together. He had never really played a sport before or exercised.

After a few rides when he got the hang of it he was already faster than her and recovered better between rides too. A few months later he didn’t even want to ride with her anymore because she was too slow for him and he moved on and found a faster group of men to ride with.

So generally yes, it is an unfair advantage.
