Top 10 Underrated Board Games of 2021 by Grant Lyon.

Every year, a lot of amazing games get released. I already made a Top 10 Games of 2021 video, and all of those remain amazing games. But I also want to highlight some more great games that didn't get a lot of attention and didn't end up on many Top 10 lists. None of these games are in the Top 1,000 on BGG.

Great list! Wild space is really awesome! I would love to play the expansion too! On the rocks looks really good! Mantis falls has such a great theme! I have seen you can play it on bga, but no idea if that’s working online that good?! Canopy and juicy fruits are really good too!❤️

The only one from this list that I’ve played (I own it) is Wild Space, and it is a fantastic game! 🥰 The purest engine builder distilled into an elegant card game. So good!

The only other underrated 2021 games I can think of that I liked but didn’t rank 1000 or higher on BGG are Studies in Sorcery and Bivouac.

Studies in Sorcery was developed by some contacts of mine in the Vancouver playtesting community; it’s a super enjoyable tableau building game.

Bivouac is a great summer camp simulator, and even though there are some hallmarks of a novice game designer, they’re forgivable because the game is cute and fun.

I really like your #3 game, and I play it with my 8-yr-old. She loves the art and the set collecting. Such a neat card drafting mechanic.

Liked the video. Many games deserve coverage that get overshadowed. As a viewer I only have one comment/request, maybe one or two stills of the board state when you are talking about a game. I’m sure it adds a ton to the editing time but I’m struggling as a visual person. No negativity, just a thought.
