I got this problem a few days ago, after copying some game installations from the internal disk to the external one. My console was not reading a lot of games, but it could read some, randomly. For me the solution was to enter safe mode, clean cache and restore database. Probably some data got corrupted after the copy process, so in my case it was a software problem. Other solution is to uninstall and reinstall the game your console does not recognize.

Thank you very much. I've had my PS5 for a couple years now & have never had a problem with it until today. Sadly I had to reset my PS5 so I lost all my saved data but I'll take that over it not taking my discs at all.
