Guys, for real though, this dish made my day back when I was studying abroad and feeling down (one of those horrible days, y'know). Groceries were kinda expensive, I was on a budget and I had my allowance stretched for that month because I had to buy some books required for class. I was hungry and obviously take out was out of the question. Randomly googled recipes with the remaining ingredients I had, which coincidentally were enough to make this recipe. Tried it out and I swear I would have cried if I weren't so happy that I actually could eat something so simple, delicious, and warm.

I ate this for breakfast today. Not only did it taste amazing, it’s high in calories and fat - it kept me full all morning and super focused during work. Seriously a good breakfast for a hard day’s work

I absolutely love that there isn't any music in the background.

This video should be renamed to "How to fill a sink with dishes while making one egg".
Used: 1 spatula, 5 bowls, 1 grater, 3 pans, 1 butter knife, 1 small plate, 1 wooden spoon, 1 pan lid, 1 strainer, 1 lemon juicer, 1 cutting board, 1 mincing knife, 1 slotted spoon, and something to eat it with (not shown)

When Nigella cooks, everything’s awesome. Her kitchen, her cutlery and crockery and the ambience all perfect. And the most important is her approach towards food : very holistic !

By far the most eloquent online/TV chef there is. No 'take it to the next level' nonsense. She just gets on with it and makes the food she's making look marvellous.

The Turkish name of this recipe is "çılbır" and we usually prefer that as lunch or dinner, rather than breakfast. Because, you know, it could be hard to eat that garlic yogurt and getting into a bus. =)

Her kitchen looks like my kitchen died and went to heaven. What kind of stainless steel tropical paradise does she live in?

I just made one this morning, and have been planning to make one for years. Made me cry a bit, coz it's been quite depressing to be in my situation. It's an awesome way to start the day. Best breakfast indeed.

My turkish neighbour would make this for me all the time! One of my favorites. She moved back to turkey last year. Oh how I miss her.

As a South Indian, I never thought I would love the taste of egg in yogurt. But this is just next level. I tried and I've become addicted to this 😍😍😍😍😍😍

I cannot express just how life altering this breakfast was. And this was my first time successfully poaching eggs!!!! I feel I need to organize a brunch and cook this for my friends.

When she said “ahh so peaceful” while chopping up dill with a medieval clever...I thought she was talking about the heads of her enemies not the still hot water where a beautiful egg was poaching. I will be calling my therapist tomorrow morning. 😅😅

Is no one else going to mention that this video is one of the most calming and beautiful (cinematically) cooking videos EVER....? It almost feels fake lol

I am constantly coming back to this video even though I've already memorized the recipe by now! It's literally the most sensual and alluring cooking video. Ever.

She made it just as it has to be made. Well done. Greetings from Turkey.
