Onlookers have described "crazy" scenes at the Scottish Grand National after protestors tried to "storm the race track" with police confirming 25 people have been arrested so far.
Animal Rising has claimed responsibility for the protest at the beginning of the 3.35pm race on Saturday, where they are alleged to have ditched hoodies and sprinted towards the Ayr race track.
But police quickly swooped in and stopped protestors from causing disruption, announcing this evening that 25 people had been arrested across the day with enquiries ongoing.
