I will admit that this is a step in the right direction for this channel moving forward. Thank you for creating content that is informative and somewhat entertaining. And thank you Dr. Moo.

It's no longer the same channel but it is enjoyable and most importantly educational and I thank you Dr Moo for that.

I've read that Aztec shaman used to pull a patient's finger to help with intestinal discomfort, a technique still used to this day.🤔

What about Indian Ayurveda? it is also one of the oldest medical disciplines. What are your thoughts on that.

No one could grab our ancient indian hand in that time in medical science: ayurveda, yoga, surgery

Quite fascinating, and appreciated the clear distinction between "alternative medicine" and *ACTUAL* medicine!

The caveman is funny. The Irish of the stone age were performing brain surgery something like 7000 BCE. Evidence shows a roughly 1/3 success rate, which is amazing for flint tools.

I also used to have this plant survival guide. It gave a pic, identification, and info for each plant. And the USE section of every one opened with "the Native Americans were known to use this to treat..." sprinkled with modern and practical uses. Can't say when, but we definitely figured out some stuff.

Why did this channel stop making content? It was so lovely.

Whenever I get sick, my Chinese grandma always gives me traditional Chinese medicine instead of modern medicine. I find both medicines to be quite effective.

Opium isn't the active ingredient in morphine. Morphine is the active ingredient in opium, hence why it was extracted and used on it's own. Infact morphine is one of many active alkaloids in opium, morphine typically is around 10 percent by weight, codeine and papaverine are present in smaller amounts within opium along with others such as thebane which is used to create other semi synthetic opioids similar to codeine and morphine. It's a fairly basic error but an honest one, thanks for the content.

Kyle better watch his back. Dr. Moo is a joy to listen to. Her flow and upbeat tone are welcomed additions to this show that complements Kyle's big golden retriever energy.

Quite informative. However, the most ancient medicine system still in practice which is Ayurveda and surgery (Shalya Tantra) and their association with Yoga were not even talked about.
