I just had a very nice conversation with Tom Grieve. While we still maintain AOR is the best self-defense program on the market, Tom is clearly a classy guy! Indeed, we were mistaken. Tom did reach out to our law firm prior to us making the video. Unfortunately, we were unaware of this fact at the time we made the video response. Tom struck me as a very honest and committed criminal defense attorney who cares about doing a good job for his clients. I hope we can work together someday either on a case or analyzing some self-defense-related videos. I believe we launched a new friendship. I'm honored to know him! I plan to stay in touch. - Marc

One of my personal experiences with the AOR program: On 5/4/22 I experienced a chain-fire as I loaded a brand new shotgun - 4 shells exploded simultaneously in the tubular magazine of the shotgun due to a faulty design of the shotgun shells. Knowing that anytime a gun is discharged here in Arizona, it could be classified as a negligent discharge (a felony) - immediately upon arriving home from the hospital emergency room, I contacted Jonathan who coordinates the AOR program to give him a heads up. Not waiting to hear from the police the entire firm at the Attorney's For Freedom sprang into action and preemptively contacted the investigating detective to intercede on my behalf - the end result was that it was classified as an accident and everything was successfully resolved! ONE CALL WAS ALL IT TOOK! If it seems like I am singing the praises of the AOR program, it's because I am!

Both my son and I joined AoR a few months back, my son was a current member of USCCA. When he went to cancel his "membership" they tried really hard to get him to disclose why he was leaving. He declined to answer even after they started asking if it was AoR. They are feeling the pain.

You guys are the salt of the earth. I take pride in being part of the AOR team. This is a no brainer for anyone who participates in the 2nd Amendment. AOR puts any other program to shame. Keep up the amazing work.

Marc, I spoke to a nice woman who answered your phones. I think her name was Amelia. I asked to chat with you guys a few weeks ago and she assured me that she would pass along my questions, including misdemeanor coverage and some bail questions, and my contact information.

Anyways, please keep up the good fight for all the good people who just want to protect themselves and their families while carrying. Will drop you an email, looking forward to connecting! Tom Grieve

I was with USCCA for 6 years even after I was told by them if I carried in a state that that was not covered by my ccw and was caught, they would not cover me but I accepted that I didn’t have much choice but to break the law when I crossed that state line with my job. To be honest, I never thought that place like AOR existed until I was watching a YouTube influencer talk about AOR and I said that is what I’m looking for and I switched. When I canceled with USCCA, they basically begged my to stay but I dropped them like a bad habit. Don’t let me down lol.

Been with AOR for 2 months. Left USCCA after 3 years. Happy with my decision. Didn't want to chance it with "insurance coverage ". AOR covers lawful acts of self defense, misdemeanor and felony, nuff said. And i got reassurance and a peace of mind with AOR which i need living in shithole Illinois. Thank you AOR for keeping it real!

Myself and my wife decided that we would prefer that our actual attorney decide if our case is covered rather than some insurance company.

Dropped my USCCA and went with your program after watching Heavy Duty country and his explanation of the 2 programs. It’s a sad state of affairs when you have to have this coverage but I am sure glad it’s there and I can have it.

I left USCCA after learning about the difference between an insurance company and a law firm. So glad I did. Thanks Marc and your crew!

I can confirm Marc is very easy to get a hold of. I emailed the general inbox some pre-signup questions, totally expecting to hear back from a staff attorney, associate, or maybe even a paralegal a few days later. Marc personally sent me very detailed responses a few hours later. That was the deciding factor to join AOR. I did keep my CCWSafe membership as well for the misdemeanor coverage and as a "backup"/to cover things that AOR might not cover, but when my next renewal comes around (unfortunately it happened about a week before the misdemeanor coverage was announced), I'll probably be re-evaluating that. I work at a law firm and know just how rare it would be to get a personal (much less very detailed including legal explanations) email from a founding partner, so that was mind blowing.

Looking forward to your state-by-state clarification video regarding bail. This is a big issue for me, as I'm a middle-class working stiff. No bail means I lose my job...hands down...this is all a part of the "process is the punishment" mentality we see employed by the anti-freedom lobby.

Please release that video soon.

Great video, if USCCA had a long term plan they'd dump Delta Defense and team up with AOR

I think the Self Defense Insurance game is over. These two cases have given a clear road map to prosecutors on how to shut down the defendant's coverage. Just add a charge that the insurance company can not cover. Defendants will be left without support and the additional stress will make them more likely to plead out.

THIS DISPLAY OF RESPECT SHOULD BE THE STANDARD FOR COMPETITIVE COMPANIES IN AMERICA!

The respect you still give to Tom shows character and is the type of act that secures the trust of stand up men. And considering that stand up men are the type to likely seek your services, this was a good move!

1) The fact you’re replying so fast shows you weren’t scrambling to strategize how to respond and you’re just relaying the facts.
2) Your bringing light to the reality of these insurance companies and all their stipulations.
3) Your videos are ruffling the insurance companies feathers and it’s causing more public discussion from all self defense services/companies. In turn helping the 2A community make more informed decisions.
4) And lastly you’re driving competition within the industry and making it better for all citizens no matter what company we invest our trust and money into.

These insurance companies are scared, and should be!

I can gladly say I am canceling my USCCA membership and will be placing my trust with AoR!

I watched Tom Grieve's "review" yesterday and I was hoping for this exact episode.

As an attorney, this is better than Professional Wrestling. I'd watch this on Netflix.
