Did You Know In BATMAN AND ROBIN…

George Clooney was actually embarrassed by the film when they finished wrapping. Once filming was over, George actually quipped, “I think we just killed the series.” At the same time, he also called the movie a waste of money, but in later interviews, he stated that it was the biggest break that he ever had since it was the film that brought him into Hollywood. George actually had deep ties to the Batman franchise though. His cousin, Miguel Ferrer is a huge Batman fan, and his father, Jose Ferrer, was actually the first actor to be offered the role of the Joker for the Batman series in 1966.

"I think we just killed the series" is the most priceless quote I never thought i would hear.

You didn't mention his cousin Miguel, voiced Deathstroke. That's too dope to not mention.

This is the greatest Batman movie ever and no one can tell me otherwise. Not only is it obviously a comedy (they put nips on the Batsuits, guys), but it was the only live action with my #1 man VICTOR FRIZE. AND HE WAS PLAYED BY *ARNOLD*. I will always watch and quote the ever loving heck out of it with my George Clooney Bruce Wayne poster on the living room wall♡♡♡♡

“Clooney had huge ties to Batman, for example his cousin liked it and his father didn’t play Batman.”

Uma Thruman as Poison Ivy was literally my teenager-crush so at least the movie brought that.

It was made for kids, i still remember being excited watching it. Now super hero movies are made for adults.

If B&R hadn't fallen so hard on its face, we probably wouldn't have gotten the Dark Knight Trilogy.
Also Uma was ludicrously hot as Ivy especially during the auction scene.

I always say this, the cast was amazing. The bad movie is not their fault. It was the director and the writers

I feel like this served more to illustrate that George Clooney is related to Miguel Ferrer than it did to illustrate a connection to Batman with deep roots…

Regardless of his cousin being a fan, his father offered but not taking the joker he ruined that shit and joined his family in their own bat cave... their basement!!!!

His cousin, Miguel Ferrer, was a huge Batman fan. Ferrer died in 2017

The thing that upsets me the most.. He actually looks the part.. Like he LOOKS like batman ripped straight out of a comic(physical appearance, not costume), and he got put in the worst batman movie, with the worst costume.. He could have been an awesome batman with a better script.

Well I know everyone hates it but I loved it. It was the closest we got to a reboot of the campy, kooky 1960s Batman I grew up with. And it had some good messages too, about how in the process of fighting monsters you can become one yourself if you're not careful, about how the loss of family can create those monsters which in turn create more monsters, how finding family again can bring us back, and that not all villains are a lost cause, but that some can and will find their way back if given a chance. Nowdays mostly all we seem to get is "good guy beats bad guys into bloody pulp and the audience cheers the grisly bloodsport."
