Hi Dr Agarwal, never did get covid and I got the Pfizer vaccination but 12 weeks apart between the 2 doses after I read the UK Birmingham study where it was reported that there was benefit in spacing out the vaccinations beyond 2 weeks. About a month later, I did the Roche Elecsys Spike Protein test and results shown as "abnormally high" (SARS-CoV-2 TOTAL AB >2500 H (Reference range <0.8 U/ML). Is there a mistake as I thought the linear range on the Roche Elecsys chart shows max range at 250 u/ml? Any advice would be appreciated! Thank you!

Hello Doctor,

thanks for sharing how to read the Covid antibody report - it was so informative and easy to follow.

I have a followup question, wondering if you can answer or help with :

method : ECLIA, test result : REACTIVE (3.87) , unit : COI
range : <1.0 Non-reactive >or = 1.0 Reactive
patient age : 77

based on your experience, do you see any red flags or is score 3.87 a low score for anitbody report given the older age, is there any matter of concern, do you recommend a booster ?

thanks

Hey Naveen, are you familiar with the LAbcorp range for antibody testing here in America? I got a 652 u/ml. I can’t find the range as you said and wondering if this is sufficient . Thank you

Hello! I just found this video so hopefully you will be able to answer my question. I had Covid in May 2020. Got the semi-quantitative antibody test in May 2021 and these were the results - SARS CoV-2 Semi-Quant Total Ab - Result - 1171.0 Negative <0.8 Positive >0.7 So it looks like I have a huge amount of antibodies left in my system even 12 months later. This means my natural immunity is still working? Thank you.

I do not know if the following comment was submitted. Will try again.
On April, 2021 I had my second Pfizer covid shot. I was age 89. The next day I went into heart failure with no apparent hope of recovery. It took many weeks to recover to a point where my health was better thanks to great care from doctors. On June 12th 2023, I had what seemed to be Covid. The test kits provided by the government tested negative. I was sick with the usual runny nose, continuous cough, weakness, etc lasting 5 weeks which did seem to be Covid despite the negative test result. We recently learned a daughter did have Covid during a visit in May/June although she had no indications. Surprisingly, an antibody high positive test result for her did show a definite recent case of Covid in the prior 4 to 6 weeks. To possibly confirm my case, I had an antibody test done. It is a positive 800. It was performed using DiaSorin Liaison (R) Sars-Cov-2 Trimeric S lgG assay. Can you please tell if this indicates my recent sickness was Covid, perhaps a variant? To my knowledge I have not had any illness between my last vaccine in 2021 and this recent illness in June. Please advise and thanks.

I had Covid last June 2020, mild case. I got an antibody test done in May 2021 almost a year later with LabCorp and my range was 2165.0 I decided to take the test again yesterday 2 months later with LabCorp again and today my results were 2427.0. It shows more antibodies. I dont' understand the results.

Hi I would like to ask..isn't the antibodies test Siemens Atellica IM Analyzer can't detect the antibodies..because we have two types of antibodies one is the Nucleocapsid protein and Spike protein..normally test kit can only detect N protein and not Spike protein which our body produces..correct me if I am wrong.. is Siemens Atellica IM analyzer able to detect Spike protein?

After suffering from covid in april . My anti spike SARS CO-V 2 antibody was 1800 AU/ml in July . Lab parameters was that >50 Au/ml showing positive covid antibodies . Should i get vaccination for covid or should check my antibodies level again in September. I suffered from very tough post covid because of having tachycardia. But now i am a little bit fine but weakness is still in body a bit . Please recommend it will be very helpful for me 🙏🙏

While this video may be helpful for those who want to better understand what a semi-quantitative test is, it still doesn't help us in determining if the number we were given is high or low. I realize there has been no standard set yet as to what qualifies as "immune" or not immune but there must be some rough figure that could give one a ballpark answer. Perhaps as a multiple of the reactive\non reactive threshold set by the test provider??? For instance: My test just last week performed by Labcorp (now 7 months after my infection) stated less than .7 = non reactive. My score was 211. That is a multiple of 301 times the threshold number of .7 which seems pretty high to me. Of course I know this means I am reactive and have had Covid-19 but no one can seem to answer that question which we all have: Does my score indicate immunity and if so at what level?

Hi Sir, your Video was informative. I has been deducted Covit positive on Feb. Post Covit I was experiencing Wight loss and I am diabetic too. So I'd a Total antibodies test for Covit method used was ECLIA.

The result was 134.33 and reference reange mentioned by lab is less than 1 negetive and more than 1 positive.

Is this too high. Do I have to be worried about this value.

Thanks for your reply in advance.

Thank you. Do you mind explaining what a spike antibody value score of 841.0 means (shows previous infection) ? I have seen other test with 14.40 Igg

Hello Doctor!
I just wanted to ask about my father who received both doses of Covaxin and got done with his quantitative antibody test after 1.5 months of the second dose.
The test showed he had not developed any antibodies. Ref range was 0.00-0.79 and he got 0.400 whereas I got 90 in the same test.
The test was Anti-SARS Cov-2 Spike antibody(ECLIA)
To confirm, we got his test done from second lab as well with the same result.
Where does he stand in terms of igg immunity?
Please advise doctor what can be done.Would mean a lot if I get a reply.Thankyou.
