Great film but a u boat commander, really any sub commander, would never do that. Vocal sounds travel quick in the water. The ocean creates an echo from the hull of the boat. That’s why they are silent when depth charges are being dropped. The least noise the better. Greyhound would’ve been to get greywolfs coordinates super easy. Of course a u boat would never go one on one with a destroyer above water with just its deck gun either, like earlier in the movie. That said, it’s a movie though, and it definitely makes it cooler.
